When schools installed wi-fi, they gave students of all ages open access to the internet.  Internet can be accessed in class during instructional time, supervised by a teacher.  However, internet can also be accessed at any time during school hours, in any location, unsupervised (in bathrooms, halls, classrooms, on the playground, etc.).    Students can now see anything they want to.  Some parents may be okay with this.  But others aren't.  Some parents do not allow their child to have such open access to this technology.  How would you feel if your child was sitting next to someone at school who was watching porn?  Don't kid yourself.  This happens on a regular basis, thanks to full access wi-fi in our public schools.
